FOUNDER AND ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Karen is the Founding Director of The New English Ballet Theatre. She holds a degree in education and is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD). She ran her own dance group and school, and has choreographed for ballet, opera and the BBC.
Deborah Bennett has served on the Board of The English National Ballet School, and the Board of Highgrove Enterprises. She is also involved in several committees for The Courtauld Institute of Art, and will oversee the Company’s strategic marketing and image building activities.
Julian Flitter FCA is a Partner in Goodman Jones LLP, where he is Head of the Charity and Social Business team. He has over 25 years of experience dealing with Companies and individuals drawn from a wide range of commercial areas as well as extensive experience dealing with Charity, Arts and Social Business clients. Julian also has a keen personal interest in Theatre and Dance, serving as advisor to a number of theatrical and dance companies and is currently trustee of One Dance UK and company secretary of Dancing for the Children.
Alastair Macpherson After university he joined Ashurst Morris Crisp (now Ashurst) the leading international law firm. Admitted as a solicitor in 1971, he was made a partner in 1974. He was Chairman of the London Committee of the National Trust for Scotland ( NTS ) from 2004 to 2007 and sat on the Councils of the NTS and The National Trust during that period. He was President of The Highland Society of London from 2008 to 2012 and Chairman of Boodle’s from 2010 to 2013. Alastair and his wife have had a lifelong interest in the ballet and he has been a friend of Covent Garden for many years.
Hugh Paget is the Senior Partner of Mewburn Ellis LLP, Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys.
Kristina Rogge has held a passion for ballet since her early school days, and having studied ballet to a professional level still enjoys lessons today. Before joining the Development Committee of the Royal Opera House, Kristina spent many years fundraising for English National Ballet School, the Dyslexia Teaching Centre, Miracles in Bosnia, the Montenegral Therapeutic Community in Southern Spain and latterly the Cecchetti Legacy Project; she is also a Trustee of The Fredrick Ashton Foundation.
Simon Weil is a partner at BDB Pitmans, was named ‘Philanthropist Adviser Of The Year’ at the 2016 Spear’s Wealth Management Awards and is well recognised in the legal directories for his expertise on private wealth, philanthropy and charities matters. Simon is also a member of the International Academy of Estate and Trust lawyers.
Carlos Acosta CBE is a world famous Premier Danseur and guest artist whose style is known to millions. He has just been announced as the new Artistic Director for Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Richard Blackford is a composer of concert and stage works as well as film and TV scores, and is also a recognised conductor especially of choral scores and ballets. He also serves as Director of Music for the New English Ballet Theatre.
Federico Bonelli has been a principle dancer with the Royal Ballet since 2003. Federico has participated in Performances and Galas around the world. In 2005 he was awarded the Positano Prix for Ballet and in 2007 he was nominated for the “Best Male Dancer” award by the National Dance Awards Critic’ Circle.
Darcey Bussell DBE is a former Principal of The Royal Ballet and one of the most famous British dancers of her generation. During her nearly twenty years as a Principal of the Company she won renown for her unique combination of a tall, athletic physique with soft lyricism. Her extensive broadcast work includes appearing as a judge on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and presenting The Royal Ballet’s cinema simulcasts, broadcast worldwide.
Nina Campbell is the founder of the world famous interior design company that bears her name, and a noted sponsor of the performing arts.
Michael Corder is a former principal dancer with the Royal Ballet and a highly distinguished choreographer, with some 50 works to his credit.
Olivia Cowley is a Soloist of The Royal Ballet. She trained at The Royal Ballet Upper School and graduated into the Company, and was promoted to Soloist in 2013. She has created numerous roles for Wayne McGregor, including Raven (Raven Girl) and roles in Carbon Life and Acis and Galatea.
Viviana Durante is acknowledged by critics and audiences worldwide to be one of the finest and most dramatic ballerinas of our time. Born in Rome, she trained at the Royal Ballet School from ten years old. At 17 she joined the Royal Ballet and at 21 she became principal dancer.
Wayne Eagling, a former Principal dancer of the Royal Ballet in London and a leading international choreographer and director.
Mara Galeazzi is currently a principal dancer with the Royal Ballet and is the founder of the charity “Dancing for the Children” which provides financial support for charities for children in developing countries.
Melissa Hamilton Born in Northern Ireland, dancer Melissa Hamilton is a First Soloist with The Royal Ballet. She joined the Company in 2007 as an Artist and was promoted to First Artist in 2009, Soloist in 2010 and First Soloist in 2013.. Rosamund Horwood-Smart QC ( Rosamund Bernays) is a Recorder and Governing Bencher of Inner Temple and serves as a trustee or patron of a number of charitable foundations.
Nehemiah Kish is a Principal of The Royal Ballet. He joined the Royal Ballet as a Principal in 2010 and his role creations there include Alastair Marriott and Christopher Wheeldon’s ‘Trespass’ (Metamorphosis: Titian 2012) and Wheeldon’s Aeternum.

Lincoln Seligman was born in London in 1950. After reading jurisprudence at Balliol Oxford, he worked as a shipping lawyer before becoming a full-time artist and sculptor in 1980.
Matz Skoog has enjoyed an extensive career at the highest level in both classical ballet and contemporary dance. Companies he has danced with includes The Royal Swedish Ballet, English National Ballet, Netherlands Dance Theatre, and Rambert Dance Company. In 1996 Matz was appointed Artistic Director of the Royal New Zealand Ballet. From 2001 to 2005 he was Artistic Director of English National Ballet. Since 2006 Matz is pursuing a freelance career as international guest teacher, artistic consultant and personal and professional development coach.

Janet Viola is the Executive Director, Founder and Artistic Director of Lanterns Schools Ltd, Lanterns Studio Theatre and Lanterns School of the Performing Arts based in Canary Wharf, Docklands. Janet, who danced with various Ballet and Contemporary companies alongside a musical theatre and commercial career, has developed the Lanterns Arts complex over the past 20 years.
Slavica Waite was born in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, is a successful business woman in the International energy trade sector. In 2000 she was awarded the medal of St Clement, in honour of her work in promoting business and cultural relations between the UK and Macedonia. She founded, in memory of her late brother, the Kiril Trajkovski Foundation, a research and educational foundation which is dedicated to adding to the collective knowledge and understanding of Archaeology.
